Beginners yoga starting Sunday 25/02/18 - 08/04/18 (no class 01/04)

A beginners yoga course is a great way to introduce your body and mind to yoga in a safe way with other students at the same level as you. 

The course will introduce you to the most common yoga postures (asanas), alignment principles, breathing and relaxation techniques. You will have time to ask any questions throughout the course and we will workshop sequences that appear regularly in general yoga classes.

The course will be small enough to allow for personal attention and individual help throughout and modifications for common injuries will be also be covered.

The classes will build week by week, preparing you to join regular group classes at the end of the 6 week course.


The course is suitable for beginners to yoga or those who have not practiced for a while and would like a refresher to the practice. It is also open to those attending classes but looking to go into more detail into the basics of yoga.
NEED TO KNOW
  • Mats and props are provided
  • Arrive 10 minutes early
  • Switch off your phone
  • Inform Charli of any injuries or serious illness.
  • Wear comfortable clothes - leggings or tracksuit bottoms.
  • Yoga is practiced without shoes & socks. Leave your shoes at the side of the room.
  • Practice on an empty stomach. 4 hours after eating a meal, 2 hours after a snack.
  • Practice silence during class.

The course is held in Belsize Community Library in Belsize Park.  It is 5 minutes walk from Belsize Park Station, or 10 minutes from Swiss Cottage and Chalk Farm
