ST SAVIOURS CHURCH
St Saviours Church
5 minutes walk from Chalk Farm Station, 5 minutes from Englands Lane or 10 minutes from Belsize Park Station. The class is held in the Octagon room which has a beautiful vaulted ceiling, floor to ceiling windows and exposed brickwork. Using the gate on Eton Road, walk to the right of the church door and there is a smaller door to the Octagon room which will be open. There are toilets available for you to change in if you need to. Belsize Park Library is a 5 minutes walk from Belsize Park Station, or 10 minutes from Swiss Cottage and Chalk Farm. It's a beautiful big space with high ceilings and big windows. There are toilets available for you to change in if you need. Mats are provided if you do not have. RFC The Rec Club
The Rec club is 3 minutes walk from Hampstead Heath Station, 9 minutes from Belsize Park and 13 minutes from Hampstead Station. We are in studio 2 on the ground floor. Please check in with reception as you arrive. Studio 2 has 1 big wall of mirrors so you can check your alignment, and a side wall of windows floor to ceiling. Please bring your own mat to this class. MIXED / INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
These are my favourite classes of the week! We have a lot of fun, trying new things, falling out of handstands and arm balances, and laughing at ourselves as we go. These classes are fun, playful and challenging and everyone leaves with a big smile on their face. We start slowly, usually laying on the back with some breath awareness to centre, ground and arrive. I will ease you into a dynamic vinyasa flow practice via some laying stretches and core work. I teach the "How to" of advanced asanas and break the down rather than just guiding you through. My classes vary every 2-3 weeks, giving you a chance to repeat the sequences and transitions, but also changing things up so that you build strength and flexibility through the whole body, not just repeating the same sequence week on week. |
MIXED/ OPEN LEVEL
The mixed level classes are suitable for all levels of students . Various options will be given throughout the class to build up to the more challenging poses, showing you the journey to get there if you are still learning the poses, if they are new to you or you want to take it easier. These classes are vinyasa flow based - meaning movement is linked with the breath. As with all my classes we start slowly, usually laying on the back with some breath awareness to centre, ground and arrive. I will ease you into a dynamic vinyasa flow practice via some laying stretches and core work. Classes often include core work, arm balances, strong standing and balance poses and deep stretches. This class is suitable for complete beginners to yoga that have a reasonable level of fitness and no injuries. Please join the Tuesday 7:30pm class that is dedicated to beginners if you need a slower paced class. |
SLOW FLOW - BEGINNERS WELCOME
A slow paced class where we work in more detail with alignment and the specifics of transitions between poses. In this class you will learn the "How to" of every pose, rather than just moving through a practice. Therefore it is a great practice for beginners but also more experienced students either wanting to go back and learn the basics properly, or wanting a more gentle practice. We start slowly, usually laying on the back with some breath awareness to centre, ground and arrive. With each yoga pose that we move into we break it down by alignment and how to approach it dependant on flexibility, injuries or yoga experience. Classes are small so I am able to give feedback to each student which allows them to feel more comfortable in a pose or progress further in a pose. |
